Install Damp Alert on your phone or tablet. It opens full screen like any other app, can tell you about new alerts, and keeps updates you save with no signal until you're back online. It's free and takes about 30 seconds.

Open this page in Safari first. On iPhone and iPad, apps can only be added from Safari (the blue compass icon).
- In Safari, go to damp-alert.co.uk/install (this page).
- Tap the Share button. On iPhone it's at the bottom of the screen; on iPad it's at the top right.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen. If you don't see it, tap Edit Actions at the bottom to add it.
- Tap Add. The Damp Alert icon appears on your home screen.
- Open Damp Alert from the new icon, log in, then come back to this page (Get the app in the menu) to switch on notifications.
Notifications need iOS / iPadOS 16.4 or newer (Settings › General › About › iOS Version).
- Open damp-alert.co.uk/install in Chrome.
- If an Install Damp Alert button shows at the top of this page, tap it and you're done. Otherwise, tap the ⋮ menu at the top right.
- Tap Install app (on some phones it says Add to Home screen), then Install.
- Open Damp Alert from your home screen or app drawer, log in, then switch on notifications below.
- Open damp-alert.co.uk in Chrome or Microsoft Edge (Firefox can't install apps; on a Mac, Safari uses File › Add to Dock).
- Click Install Damp Alert at the top of this page. If it isn't there, click the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar (a screen with a down arrow), or the browser menu › Cast, save and share › Install page as app.
- Damp Alert opens in its own window and can be pinned to your taskbar or dock.
